Who can rent a car? Are there any special requirements of renting a car?

All drivers must posses a valid Singapore Class 3 driving license with at least 2 year of driving experience.

 

What are the documents required to rent a car?

All drivers must produce the original Singapore Identity Card and driving license. Foreigners are to produce their employment letter, employment pass and driving license.

 

What is the minimum hire period?

We do not have a minimum hire period except during weekends where we require a minimum of 2 days.

 

What if I need to extend the rental period?

The Hirer will have to inform Swish Car Rental as soon as possible to make the necessary adjustments.

 

What if I am unable to return the car on time?

Hirer’s is responsible to inform Swish Car Rental should he/she is not able to return the car on time. Every excess hour will be charged at $10 an hour. Anything above four hours will be considered as full day rate. This is subject to the approval and discretion of Swish Car Rental.

 

What are your operating hours?

We operate from 9am to 6 pm from Monday to Friday. However, alternative arrangements outside this period can be made with our sales representatives.

 

Where do I pick up the vehicle?

You can collect and return the vehicle at our office or an alternate location can be arranged. For corporate accounts and rental period of above one week, free delivery and collection may be arranged.

 

Do the rental cars provide comprehensive insurance?

Yes. The NON-WAIVERABLE DAMAGE EXCESS in Singapore in $1,500 and in Malaysia is $2,000.

 

What does the rental rate include?

The rental rate includes insurance, road tax, unlimited use on Singapore roads, breakdown service and full maintenance over the period of hire. Additional insurance applies for travel in Malaysia.

 

Does your company charge membership fees?

We do not have membership. However, repeat customers enjoy special discounts and priority booking by phone or email.

 

Can I drive the vehicle to Malaysia?

Yes, this may be subject to additional charges. A surcharge of $30 per day will be levied to extend the insurance and service coverage up to Kuala Lumpur and Kuantan.

 

Is there a mileage limitation for Malaysia use?

You are given free mileage of 300 km per day, with excess mileage charged at $0.30 per km (for cars) and $0.50 per km (for MPVs).

 

How about the tank, do I need to re - fill?

Yes, the Hirer must re-fill the petrol tank to the same level as when he/she collected the vehicle. If the tank is not refueled to the same level, the cost of petrol plus a service charge of $10 will be levied.

 

What must be done if the vehicle is involved in an accident?

The Hirer must report all accidents to Swish Car Rental immediately. Should there be any bodily injuries, the Hirer must report to the respective authorities after informing Swish Car Rental.

 

What if the vehicle were to break down?

The Hirer must report all vehicle breakdowns to Swish Car Rental immediately so that the 24 hour Emergency Breakdown Service can be activated which      is provided free of charge to the Hirer. A replacement vehicle will be provided subject to availability. In the event that no replacement vehicle is available,        a pro-rated refund will be given to the Hirer.

In addition, empty petrol tank, loss of car key or key locked inside of vehicle does not constitute a breakdown. In the event that the 24 hour Emergency Breakdown Service is called upon to response to such occurrence, the Hirer shall bear a service charge of $60 per trip plus the cost of replacing the parts https://www.locksmithspros.com/emergency.

 

What if I receive a parking fine?

The Hirer will be responsible for all parking and traffic violations. The Hirer must inform Swish Car Rental whenever they have received any summon / fines.

 

What are the forms of payment for the rental?

We accept payment in the form of cash / VISA / MASTERCARD.
